Roy Horn, half of Las Vegas’ famous animal and magic act Siegfried and Roy died of coronavirus complications Friday, according to his publicist. He’s 75. Roy Uwe Ludwig Horn and Siegfried Fischbacher began their upbeat shows in Europe, and later became staples in Las Vegas, when they performed for four decades.

Their revue came to an end after a white tiger named Mantecore assaulted Horn on stage in October 2003, cutting his spine. Roy Horn emerges being attack by a white tiger in 2003 at the Mirage Hotel. The attack occurs on Horn’s 59th birthday, and at the time a member of the audience told CNN that Horn “looked like a rag doll in his mouth.” Horn sustained major blood loss and stroke, which underwent two operations.

Horn believed that the attack was a response to a stroke and then called Mantecore “my lifesaver,” said his advertiser. Horn eventually able to walk again. But he and Siegfried perform one more time together for a reward until they retire in 2010. He travels the remainder of his life, visit his animals. Also, attend shows and philanthropic events in Las Vegas, the statement state.

A public memorial for Horn is to be held in the future. He is leaving behind his pal, Werner Horn, and Fischbacher, his longtime success partner.
